About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and monthly close in a stable, mission-driven nonprofit organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys reconciliation work, clear responsibilities, and a consistent workload.

You'll be part of a small, collaborative finance team supporting programs that serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations
• Research and resolve reconciling items
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Assist with annual audits and supporting schedules
• Prepare, submit, and reconcile state and contract billings
• Help improve accounting processes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience
• Strong technical skills, including accounting systems/ERPs and Microsoft Excel
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

• Background in nonprofit, healthcare, or government accounting
• Exposure to grant accounting, Medicaid billing, or state contracts
• Experience using Sage 100, Sage Intacct, or a similar ERP system
